Long-haired Persian cat found Gd-Lancy/Onex

Thank you so much for help this poor cat. Poor condition but hope it can find his house or stay with you for a great life. Please let me know if the healthy is good few days later.

Bonjour Stephane, ce n'était donc pas votre chat. Alors il s'agissait bien d'un persan qui a été trouvé, pas un sacré de Birmanie comme celui que vous recherchez. C'était apparemment la même couleur de fourrure, c'est ce qui m'a fait penser qu'il y aurait pu avoir une erreur en ce qui concerne la race mentionnée. Bon courage pour vos recherches, ne pense bien à vous.

Il ressemble bcp juste en plus foncé. Mon coeur a battu très fort.
J'ai vu une photo par MMS. Pauvre chat dans un sale état. Un Persan ColourPOint je pense.
La dame va faire des recherches et le garder au pire...

Je lui ai transmis une photo elle dit que non et qd même qqdifférences, MAIS je viens de lui refaire un SMS demandant si je peux passer toute de même..
Mais le nez enfoncé du persan colourpoint n'est pas celui d'un sacré de Birmanie, etle mien est un mâle ,là c'est une femelle. Toutefois... sans m'étaler là dessus je préfère en effet demander à le voir car la photo me trouble.

I'm taking care of the cat chez moi. We have been for a visit to the vet and will go back in a week. i will put up notices to try and find its owner. I so wish it was Stephanes cat. Bon courage Stephane.

Ne serait-il pas resté enfermé à quelque part ? Vous avez certainement déjà fait des recherches en pensant à cette possibilité ! Il ne faut pas perdre espoir, mais c'est sûr que c'est horrible de ne pas savoir où il se trouve, ce qui s'est passé ce jour-là. Vous remuez ciel et terre et pour l'instant sans résultat. Bonjour Corinne, je suis passée devant chez vous en faisant ma marche matinale ce matin.
Je pense que vous aviez laissé votre minette se dégourdir les pattes dans votre jardin et elle est allée explorer les jardins des villas d'à côté et elle a fini par arriver sur le chemin des Verjus. Il n'y a pas beaucoup de traffic sur cette petite route, mais heureusement tout de même, qu'elle a eu la chance d'être vue par une dame au grand coeur. J'espère que votre Minette va bien et n'a pas trop souffert de son aventure.!!!

Thank you for calling me with the contact number. I have tried phoning several times but no answer. I will try again in the morning. Luckily, as I am always at the ready to help a cat, so i have a toilet tray and food at the ready!!

Update: Still unable to reach them by phone. I drove past earlier and the gate was open and no car in the driveway. Maybe they are away for Easter? I'll keep trying to call. In the mean time the cat is being cared for!

Update. The cat is home. After nearly a week of not being able to reach the owner by phone I decided to go round to the house. The home phone is no longer in use. The owner is happy to have her home! We spoke about the cat not being in the right condition to be let out. As lovely as the cat is, I hope I don't see her again!

Yes Denise, she was again on Verjus, (i live on L'Aulne) quite a way for a blind cat. I wonder if the cat may also have dementia...? Anyway I have done what I can and i am now busy with another starving (very very thin) and very timid cat is now in my care. Trying to build up trust quickly to get it to the vet.

I think you love the cats, do you keep one on your owne. Or are you only taking care of the cats who need help?

Yes Denise I love cats and do what I can to help needy cats. It's in my blood! My mum runs a cat charity in Greece! Since I was a child we have always had cats in the family. I had a cat for 15 years but he died 2 years ago, it broke my heart. I have not felt ready to have another yet. however cats that need help seem to come my way somehow.

That's wonderfull what you do for helping the cats who are "crossing your road" Rachael. Perhups one day you will be ready, to have another cat on your own. You won't never forget your cat who died two years ego, but that will have another beautiful story for many years. I hope that for you.
Our first shecat was 20 years old, when we have to take the difficult final decision, and our second shecat was 18 years old, when we had to take the same decision. That's is less of 2 years ago. Now we have un other shecat. "Princesse" and "Maya" are still in our heart, and we can say that they are still living with us. I hope you will have a nice sunday.

Since you are experienced with cats, if I need help to get this cat in a box to get it to the vet, maybe you could be so kind and give me a hand? I am slowly getting closer but it is so very very thin I don't want to wait too long before getting a professional assessment. S/he was obviously a very loved cat and I'm hoping a chip will enable us to reunite them. I've read and read the Lost cats on here and can't find a description that fits!

You have an other possibility Rachael, is calling a veterinary who comes at home. You can see their names in the telephondirectory., it's written thoses who come to do visites at home. I have read in this forum that's not more expensive.

No worries Denise, I just thought if you lived near by.... I didn't want to trouble you. If I am unable to manage alone I will contact SOS chats (but I know that they are always so busy!). At the moment he is eating, drinking and using the litter tray and seems quite OK despite being painfully malnourished and severely underweight. So if I can build up the trust slowly over the next few days I might be able to manage without troubling anyone. I hope you have a lovely time in Italy.
